Why Russia attacked Ukraine: A look from the future to explain for kids
Do you really understand Putin?
Let’s dwell in 2030 and try to explain to your 10-year-old great grandkid about the war in 2022. You can understand Putin’s decision about his legacy.
While Putin knew he was going to die in the coming months because of cancer, he decided to play Thanos's role to establish the growth direction on Earth. His role three decades after the Soviet collapse was very positive for Russia but his whole life of international influence was vague as a world leader. So contribution to the next generations with his testing the world with war should be the best strategic move of Putin’s alternative choices in 2022.
Growing up in a totalitarian society, he well understood the limitation of planning and controlling, but he did not convince himself there were some other ways of life better for himself, his family, his Russian people, and his fellow earthmen. Three branches of his government, stupifying generations with a monopoly on the means of communication, distorting reality with ideologism, and blending dissidents with a system of terror, were too well established from the dictatorship of previous governments. He knew these three branches work well toward hell. But how to change the course with the lowest cost of damage is his lifetime challenge. The three branches of the US government did not convince him as well because he saw many faults and easily get hurt as he tried to manipulate it several times with success. He knew maybe the US system was a good way but it would take too long to achieve a better society. Russians do not have another three hundred years like the US to form such an auto-criticize republic-democratic dynamics for a trial-and-error way of social governing.
So, the shortest way should be the blitz game of Thenos, just a finger snap and with or without success the world will find it best way to reach harmonious status in development. That should be the last war on earth and that’s the great Putin’s way of action. That’s the greatest Putin legacy for us: A losing war to end all future wars against humans!
